Request a crew
Brooklyn, Kings County. Assessment and written scope before any work begins.
What to send
Your address, the floor affected, whether the water is stopped, and whether the electrical panel is dry. If you are a tenant, tell us and give us the managing agent or landlord contact as well.
What happens next
We call back to confirm the window, then send an assessor with moisture meters and a camera. You get a written scope with measurements and a category and class before any work begins.
What we ask on the callback
Four things decide the crew and the equipment. Whether the water is still running. Whether it touched sewage, groundwater or only a clean supply line. How long the material has been wet. And what the building is, because a fourth-floor walk-up in a pre-war building and a grade-level garage in a detached house need different setups.
If you are a tenant
You can authorize work in your own unit. You cannot authorize work in a common area, a mechanical room or another apartment. Call your managing agent or landlord at the same time and give us their number, because the building shutoff is usually in a space only they can open. If the loss came from the unit above, the building's emergency line is the fastest route to that door.
If the loss is happening now
Do not stand in water to reach a shutoff. If the panel or an outlet is submerged, leave the building and call an electrician or the utility before anyone walks back in. If a ceiling is bulging, keep people out from under it and put a bucket beneath the drip rather than pushing a hole in the board yourself.
What this form does not do
It does not dispatch a crew by itself, and it does not create a contract. It starts a callback. The contract is the written scope you approve after the assessment, and nothing is removed before you sign it.
Form
If water is still moving, the call matters more than the reading.
